Christmas Decorations

We painted beautiful wooden and clay decorations. They look fantastic on our Christmas tree.

Cycling

We started cycling as part of our PE programme. What a beautiful day for a bike ride.

Advent Calendars

We are counting down the days to Christmas on our beautiful snowmen Advent Calendars.

Shops and T-Shirts

 We designed a new shop front for Cavan town.

We designed some beautiful tourist t-shirts from all around the world.

Sound

 Sound 

We have been learning about sound and hearing in Science. We made some panpipes using straws.

We filled similar bottles with varying amounts of water. This created a scale of musical notes. Aleksandra played the tune "Three Blind Mice".

String Telephones

String Telephones

We have been learning about Communication in the past. We designed and made our own string telephones. They worked best when the sting was pulled tightly. 

Sound Pictures

 Hatching and Shading

We studied "The Enraged Musician" by the artist William Hogarth. It is an etching and an engraving. We used hatching and shading techniques to create a sound picture.

Ballyhaise Agricultural College

As part of Science Week, Third Class visited Ballyhaise Agricultural College where they learned about modern farming methods and sustainability.

Road Safety Talk

 

3rd Class had a visit from Christine, a Community Garda.

She talked about how to stay safe when out walking and cycling.
